I have recently been bombarded with inquiries by my ardent fans and readers of Dead End as to why I will not be attending the "forum" regarding the Robison murders that is to be conducted at the Petoskey Public Library on May 18, 2009.
Here's my answer - I was not invited - plain and simple. The individuals who initiated this gathering, most of whom from what I have been told by those who know, are people with whom I have written or spoken to in the past. I will have to assume they did not wish the pleasure of my company either because they felt that my presence would be an embarrassment to them or to their abstract theories regarding the case.

Will you allow those who attend the forum to post questions to you here in response to the info they hear there?
ReplyDeleteYes. I would like to extend an invitation to any and all that may have attended to post or ask questions.
ReplyDeleteIt will be more of an embarrassment to NOT have you there, considering your book is a best-seller, and you have a significant following! Hope they like crow! :)

Dear Mr. Pecora,
ReplyDeleteThrilled to see the inauguration of your blog.
I look forward to future updates on this case, which continues to intrigue a growing number of followers more than 40 years after the crime.
As for your snub at the recent Petoskey seminar, it is instructive to remember the words of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King:
"An injustice to one man anywhere is an injustice to all men everywhere". Keep the faith, sir...
